What would you do if one of your wedding suppliers let you down?

by Editor@BookOurWedding 29. March 2010 09:57

Planning a wedding can be a stressful time for all concerned.  I am sure everyone could tell a wedding horror story were something has went wrong in the lead up to a wedding day or indeed on the day itself.

Recently in Northern Ireland, many brides were left shocked and angered to discover that a bridal shop with locations in Portrush and Belfast, had taken orders for wedding dresses and then closed its doors without any warning.  Many of these brides had paid a deposit and some had even made full payment and were then left with no bridal gown.

Other brides had been let down by a Derry based wedding photographer who after taking full payment had not provided the couple with their wedding album which they had been waiting well over a year for.

These stories should highlight to brides the importance of choosing reliable wedding suppliers.  When a bride makes a booking with a wedding band or a wedding florist they should make regular contact with this wedding supplier to ensure that no wires have been crossed.

A simple way to confirm your wedding booking is to call the wedding supplier a few weeks after making the booking and asking them to check availability for your wedding date.  Once the supplier has confirmed that they are booked on this date ask them to confirm that it is your wedding they are making reference to.

You could also ask the wedding supplier to send you a receipt or documentation to show that they have your booking in their diary.

If you are finding it difficult to find a DJ, etc available on your wedding date or one that is going to suit your budget then why not send us an email with your requirements.

Recently we have helped a large number of brides find photographers, florists, etc.  With our large database of wedding suppliers throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland we can quickly send out an email to find a wedding supplier to suit your needs.
