Lunch at Cutters Wharf in Belfast

by Editor@BookOurWedding 29. March 2010 08:46

Last Wednesday we decided to go to Cutters Wharf to try out their lunch menu.   For those of you who don’t where that it, Cutters Wharf is located in Stanmillis alongside the River Lagan and it is a pub/restaurant.

On entering the restaurant we sat at a large round table close to the window. It was ideal as there were four of us and a small child.  The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived and we sat for a few minutes before anyone came to us.

The bar menu which we were given seemed to be the only menu available and appeared to be served all day.  The waiter did however advice that there was a lunch special on which I assume they change on a daily basis.

We ordered two Penne Pastas, one BBQ Chicken Burger and one Nacho.  The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were ample.  The nachos, which was a starter was big enough to be a main course.  Although I had chosen the pasta I sampled all of the dishes.

Penne Pasta ................................................£8.75

with sundried tomatoes, olives, garlic & basil, servedwith ciabatta bread

BBQ Chicken Burger....................................£8.95

with organic leaf salad & chips

Nachos ........................................................£4.95

with jalapeno peppers, sour cream, tomato salsa& cheese

Although we had a bit of a wait it wasn’t too long that we felt the need to complain.  There appeared to be only two floor staff on and as there was a large party in they were probably under some pressure.

I will definitely be visiting Cutters Wharf again and hope to sit outside next time, weather permitting.  They have tables and chairs outside overlooking the water and I am sure in the warmer weather it is a very popular spot for those who wish to dine or simply relax and have a drink.
