On a recent visit to a wedding show I came across a company that specialise in wedding runners. This was my first time to see this new concept. I must say I like it however I suppose it all comes down to budget.
A wedding runner is a contemporary twist to the traditional red carpet. It is a fully customised rug that will run the length of the church aisle, coordinated to match the wedding theme and colours.
I spoke to the lady at the show to find out a little more. She advised the average size that people order is 20ft and this costs approximately 380 euro. You can get a list of all their prices from the website.
She showed me the ordering process which seems very simple.
You go their website and follow 5 steps:
Step 1 Choose the design of the runner from the range of designs.
Step 2 Enter your chosen text from a selection of options, this text can be both of your names and the date, or both of your initials and the date, it is up to you! You also select where on the runner you want your text to appear, the top (of the church), middle, or bottom (where you enter the church)
Step 3 You then select your colours. You will need to select the background colour and then the border / text colour
Step 4 You enter the length you require (see aisle guidelines)
Step 5 Give them your delivery details and pay via credit card
Delivery costs are highlighted on their website. Delivery in Ireland & N Ireland is 28 euros and delivery in the UK is 35 euros
Sounds simple, have a look http://www.weddingrunner.com
It also states on their website 'look out for us on Dragons Den’.
See some photos below which I took from their website.
